Shingle Creek

The drive to the trailhead into the Uinta's is about 35 minutes from Park City. The ride starts with a moderate climb on double track trail under Aspen Trees. Some technical but fun stretches along the way. This ride is great on hot days, because we ride through two Campgrounds where Drinking Water is available, plus a stream to cool off in.

Easy riding

As the ride continues, there are Beaver Ponds and plenty of wild life to look out for. Passing through a wide meadow the view of the Provo River Valley and the high Uinta Mountains is incredible. At this point we have lunch and then start the return trip, which is mostly downhill.

To continue on to Tayler Fork riding the loop, climbing will be essential and not always easy. The descent is quite technical, following a streambed with large rocks. (In and back riding time 3 hours, loop 4 to 5 hours)
